Indianapolis (AP) -- Ever so slightly, graduation rates for men's Division One basketball, baseball and football players are continuing to rise.

 

The NCAA released figures today tracking the graduation rates at 318 Division One colleges and universities for athletes who enrolled from 1997-2000.

The Boston College football program ranks third among Division One schools with a 93 percent graduation rate, ranking only behind Navy and Northwestern.

The overall rate for men and women in all sports nationwide remained at 77 percent.

Other New England schools' football graduation rates include UMass Amherst at 66 percent, the University of New Hampshire at 85 percent, UMaine at 58 percent, the University of Rhode Island at 69 percent and UConn at 78 percent.

The worst included Central Connecticut at 33 percent.
