Over the last ten years no men's soccer program in the Big East has more wins than UConn, and a national championship, and head coach Ray Reid's guys are off to a good start this year.

The Huskies are 2-0 so far.

UConn is coming off what they call a disappointing season. They lost in the first round of the NCAA tournament.

This year they were the pre-season pick at 25 in the country. They have something to prove this year, mostly to themselves.

"Last year, I would say humbled is the word just because, maybe thinking us being UConn was enough" senior forward Chukwudi Chijindu said.

"We are working on our chemistry," senior defender Julius James said. "We like each other, but it doesn't necessarily mean we like each other that we going to be pretty good on the field, you know."

"Last year was extremely disappointing," Reid said, "and I do sense a sense of focus with these guys, a sense of and urgency and and a sense of maturity, so we'll see.

The men play tonight against South Carolina in the UConn/adidas Classic.
