Newark, Del. (AP) -- Elena Delle Donne, who once was UConn's top basketball recruit for its 2008-09 season, has enrolled at the University of Delaware and will play on its volleyball team. The 6-foot-5 Delle Donne says she was burned out on basketball after playing it so intensely and for so many years. The 18-year-old forward practiced at UConn for a few days this summer before returning home to Delaware. Delle Donne started practicing last week with the volleyball team at Delaware, where she will play as a non-scholarship team member. The move meant giving up a full scholarship to UConn. A spokesman for UConn Coach Geno Auriemma they have no comment except to wish Delle Donne the best of luck.
