(WTNH) _ A chance to represent their country...a couple of Huskies will get that chance.
Sophomore hockey player Amy Hollstein is one of 34 players selected to compete for one of 22 spots on the under 22 national team. The team will play in the USA Hockey Women's National Festival in August and against Canada in the Canadian series. Meanwhile, Huskies volleyball player Annie Luhrsen hasn't even gotten to UConn yet, but the freshman-to-be from Illinois is getting a chance to make the Junior National Team. She's one of 19 players chosen to try-out for 12 spots on the Junior National Team which will compete this July in Mexico. |
