(WTNH) _ The UConn baseball team playing where the pro's play. Earlier this month the Huskies played Quinnipiac at Dodd Stadium in Norwich -- the home of the Connecticut Defenders.
Quinnipiac set up the game and the Huskies were glad to oblige. Huskies scored a bunch of runs in a 14 to 9 slugfest win over the Bobcats. This is not a bad day for players who would one day like to call this place home. "We feel very fortunate to be able to come down the road and play here today on a pro field," Jim Penders said. The Huskies finished up the 2008 season 27 and 28, 11 and 16 in the Big East. |
