Piscataway, N.J. (AP) -- Rutgers and Connecticut, the dominant powers in women's basketball in the Big East Conference, will play a home-and-home series next season.
The league schedule was announced Tuesday and maintains the same repeat opponents from the 2007-08 season for the upcoming year. Each team will play a 16-game conference schedule, playing one opponent twice, while facing each of the 14 other league members once.

UConn finished the regular season ranked No. 1. The Huskies beat Rutgers in the Greensboro Regional Final to earn a berth in the Final Four where they lost to Stanford.
