(WTNH) _ The University of Connecticut has been knocked out of the NCAA tournament following a loss to San Diego. It's the first time the Huskies lost a first round NCAA tournament game under Jim Calhoun. A.J. Price, the junior point guard, went out of the game in the first half following a knee injury. Without him, San Diego led 34-29 at the half. The Huskies came back in the second half, sending the game into overtime. De'Jon Jackson hit a jumper with 1.2 seconds remaining to give 13th seed San Diego the win over No. 4 Connecticut. San Diego advances in the West Regional to play No. 12 Western Kentucky. |
