Storrs (AP) _ The UConn men opened their exhibition season tonight with a 90-75 win over Assumption College at Gampel Pavilion. A.J. Price led the Huskies with 22 points. He helped UConn snap out of a sluggish start when scored 12 points during a second-half run that led to a 17-point UConn lead. Jerome Dyson added 18 points. Craig Austrie and Jeff Adrien each finished with 12 point for UConn. Adrien also pulled down 15 rebounds. Mike Baldarelli led Assumption with 16 points and Corey Diethorn added 15. The Huskies open the regular season on Wednesday against Morgan State.

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. (Tuesday, January 06, 2009) - The No. 2 University of Connecticut men’s basketball team prevailed to a 61-55 victory at No. 22 West Virginia at the WVU Coliseum on Tuesday night. Jeff Adrien (Brookline, Mass.) led all scores with 17 points while also grabbing seven rebounds. Stanley Robinson had a game-high 15 boards, helping the Huskies out-rebounded the Mountaineers 52-33. Robinson contributed seven points and four assists in the game.
