Two stories to check out on Sunday's benefit basketball game featuring former UConn women players.

It has been nearly 10 years since Nykesha Sales played her final game as a member of the UConn women's basketball team. When she took the court during the second annual Connecticut Starz Benefit Basketball Game at the University of Hartford Sunday, it seemed as if she had only graduated last season.

As Willnett Crockett took to the free-throw line halfway through the second quarter of Sunday's Connecticut Basketball Starz charity game, former teammate and current Phoenix Mercury star Diana Taurasi did what any good teammate would do - she pulled Crockett's shorts down.

Interesting story posted a few minutes ago at Courant.com as Geno Auriemma gives his two-cents Tennessee coach Pat Summitt and why she ended the UConn vs Tennessee basketball series.

Writes John Altavilla;<blockquote>At long last, UConn women's basketball coach Geno Auriemma has spoken about the end of the UConn-Tennessee series, and what he wants is honesty from Volunteers coach Pat Summitt...

"There are a lot of unanswered questions out there. But my feeling all along has been that we had a signed contract to play and she didn't want to for her own reasons."

Auriemma also said he won't be calling Summitt in an attempt to get the series renewed.</blockquote>
