Men's Ice Hockey: UConn Halts Six-Game Slide With 2-1 Victory Over RIT

STORRS, Conn. (Friday, November 21, 2008) - The University of Connecticut men’s hockey team returned home against the Rochester Institute of Technology for their first home series since the weekend of October 24 and 25 when they swept Army. Since that sweep, the Huskies (3-8-0, 3-3-0 Atlantic Hockey) went on a six-game skid which was snapped Friday in a 2-1 win over RIT(4-7-1, 3-3-1 Atlantic Hockey). UConn won their third game of the year, all of which have come at the Mark E. Freitas Ice Forum.

(Friday, November 21, 2008) - Senior Jeff Adrien scored 22 points and grabbed 14 rebounds, while freshman Kemba Walker (Bronx, N.Y.) scored 23 points off the bench to lead the No. 2 nationally-ranked University of Connecticut men’s basketball team to a 89-81 victory over La Salle University Friday in the opening round of the 2008 Paradise Jam at the University of the Virgin Islands Sports and Fitness Center.
