TAMPA, Fla. (Tuesday, January 06, 2009) - The No. 1/1 University of Connecticut women’s basketball team forced 26 turnovers and held the Bulls to 11 points in the second half as the Huskies defeated South Florida 83-37 in their BIG EAST Conference opener on Tuesday night in the USF Sun Dome.

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. (Tuesday, January 06, 2009) - The No. 2 University of Connecticut men’s basketball team prevailed to a 61-55 victory at No. 22 West Virginia at the WVU Coliseum on Tuesday night. Jeff Adrien (Brookline, Mass.) led all scores with 17 points while also grabbing seven rebounds. Stanley Robinson had a game-high 15 boards, helping the Huskies out-rebounded the Mountaineers 52-33. Robinson contributed seven points and four assists in the game.
